This document is plain-language boilerplate, not legal advice. Have somebody qualified read it before launch, particularly once advertising is added.

What this is

RecordSeason.com hosts free browser games in which you build a player from real historical statistics and simulate a season. It is entertainment. It is not a betting product, there is nothing to buy, nothing to win, and no money changes hands in either direction.

The statistics

The games use publicly available National Football League statistics. Player names and season figures are matters of record and are used to describe what those players actually did.

RecordSeason.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, any NFL club, or any player. No league or club trademarks are used, and no claim is made to any.

Simulated results are fiction

A season you run is produced by our own simulation. It is a game, not a projection, a prediction, or a statement about how any player would have performed. Nothing produced here should be relied on for anything.

Using the site fairly

You may play as much as you like. Please do not:

send automated traffic, scrape the site, or run scripts against it;
try to reverse-engineer, extract or reconstruct the simulation;
interfere with the service or attempt to reach parts of it that are not served to a browser;
use the site to break any law.

Requests are rate-limited, and we may block traffic that looks automated.

What belongs to whom

The games, their code, their artwork, the RecordSeason name and the game names belong to State908 Games LLC. The underlying statistics are facts and belong to nobody.

Images the game generates for you — your result card — are yours to post wherever you like.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be correct, or always behave. We may change the games, the rules, the statistics or the simulation at any time, and a change to the simulation means older results may no longer reproduce.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, State908 Games LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site. This is a free football game; please treat it as one.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top will change when they are, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, and any dispute arising from them belongs in the courts of that state.
